Runner's High Club was founded three years ago by Derek Taylor and Gary Mulvihill, who each has over 18 years running experience and together have completed 41 marathons. A desire to share their knowledge with other runners led them to starting Runner's High Club and serving as coaches along with four assistant coaches. They have helped hundreds of runners meet their goals. Club membership includes a 22 week marathon training program for runners of all levels as well as training for 5K and 10K races. Marathon training begins August 2, 2008 and a nominal fee includes a training schedule, coaching seminars, group runs as well as a signature T-shirt or singlet. Meetings and short seminars on running topics take place every Saturday morning following a group run. In addition to getting you in shape, Runner's High Club provides a great way to meet new running friends. Monthly social events include happy hours, dinners, breakfasts and attending sporting events. For those planning to run out-of-town marathons, schedules are available to help you attain specific goals. The club has groups training to run 1/2 marathon, Chicago, New York, and Portland marathons. |
